Steve has worked for more than 25 years at NWRA. Steve covers the northeastern states of New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine. He works with the region's NWRA recycling, organics and waste companies and interacts on their behalf at the state, local, regional, special authority and county level. He works with elected and legislative officials as well as administrative and regulatory officials in all solid waste and recycling areas.
Steve holds a master’s degree in political science, and he primarily manages the many, varied specialty issues within our industry’s northeastern region. He works constantly to bring consensus on issues with independent waste company owners, executives of publicly traded companies, engineers, recyclers, facility operators, policymakers, lawyers and others. Once a consensus is reached, Steve then works with members and interested parties to see that the industry's voice is heard. Over the years, Steve has also managed the association’s Future Industry Leaders Alliance (FILA) that helps younger industry professional learn and grow professionally. Recently, Steve was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Keep America Beautiful Massachusetts Chapter.
Steve resides in Massachusetts with his wife Anne of 38 years. He has two adult children, and he has 2 very young grandsons. His interests include sports, travel and enjoying the Delaware River in its wild and scenic upper region.
