Recruitment & Retention

As the driver and mechanic talent pool becomes more competitive, the Association has developed partnerships with other industries in trucking and manufacturing to provide resources and best practices in the recruitment and retention of drivers and mechanics. Additionally, the Education Department has formed a committee consisting of human resource talent acquisition directors that provide guidance and resources for successful recruitment and retention of drivers and mechanics. If you are interested in participating on this committee, please contact Megan Passinger, Director – Education, at mpassinger@wasterecycling.org.

Education Committee

Membership feedback and participation is important to the success of educational programming at the National Waste & Recycling Association. The Education Committee consists of industry professionals who make decisions regarding educational initiatives. Some of the committee’s activities include:

  • Identifying WasteExpo educational sessions, including speaker/ moderator recommendations
  • Provide subject matter expertise for on demand educational programming
  • Influence the strategic direction of education for the Association

Members that are interested in joining the Education Committee should contact Megan Passinger, Director – Education, at mpassinger@wasterecycling.org.
