NWRA RECOGNIZES WORKERS MEMORIAL DAY
Arlington, VA – The National Waste and Recycling Association joins companies and workers throughout the United States in remembering those who did not come home from work this past year on Workers Memorial Day, April 28th. We ask all members to observe a moment of silence as they begin their week to remember the men and women who did not make it home safely and to protect our workers as they begin a new week.
NWRA CEO Darrell Smith said, “We need to honor those who did not complete their shift and whose families are changed forever. If we are to become a safer industry, we need remember the dead, but work to protect the living.”
The National Waste and Recycling Association represents the private sector waste and recycling services industry. Association members conduct business in all 50 states, and include companies that manage garbage, recycling and medical waste, equipment manufacturers and distributors, and a variety of other service providers.
