The International Trade Administration (ITA)
The International Trade Administration strengthens the competitiveness of U.S. industry, promotes trade and investment, and ensures fair trade through the rigorous enforcement of our trade laws and agreements. ITA works to improve the global business environment and helps U.S. organizations compete at home and abroad.

Trade Information Center
The Trade Information Center is staffed by export professionals capable of advising you on all aspects of the export process. They provide assistance with export documentation, U.S. and foreign market regulations, trade complaints, market research and more.

The Export Assistance Center Network/ITA
The U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Export-Import bank, the U.S. Agency for International Development, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture have formed a unique partnership to establish a nationwide network of Export Assistance Centers. EACs are located in over 100 cities throughout the United States and serve as one-stop shops that provide small- and medium-sized American businesses with hands-on export marketing and trade finance support.

Global Trade & Technology Network
The Global Trade & Technology Network, formerly part the United States Agency for International Development, has facilitated international trade since 1994, helping U.S. businesses locate foreign markets and buyers, establish workable business relationships, identify financing sources, simplify shipping and customs, provide marketing advice, and in general make the international sales effort as simple as possible. Today the office provides these services through the U.S. Commercial Service of the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Getting Started – A Basic Guide to Exporting
This “Exporting 101” primer is indexed by chapter and can be reviewed in its entirety online. It is a must the new-to-exporting company. It was prepared by the U.S. Department of Commerce with the assistance of a wide range of government agencies.

Trade Development Unit Office for Environmental Technologies Industries
The Environmental Technologies Industries office is the principal resource and key contact point within the U.S. Department of Commerce for American environmental technology companies. ETI’s goal is to facilitate and increase exports of environmental technologies, goods and services by providing support and guidance to U.S. exporters.

As the Small Business Administration's office for the support of small business international trade development, the Office of International Trade works in cooperation with other federal agencies and public- and private-sector groups to encourage small business exports and to assist small businesses seeking to export.
