Arlington, VA – The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) congratulates Don Ross, chairman of its Board of Trustees, on his appointment as chief executive officer of Kollekt U.S., Inc., a new U.S.-based manufacturer and provider of waste and recycling collection equipment. The company will make its official industry debut at RCon 2026, September 29–October 2, in St. Louis, Missouri.
Ross brings nearly 40 years of experience in the solid waste and recycling industry, including leadership in collection operations, municipal waste management and refuse equipment manufacturing. As NWRA chairman, Ross plays an important role in advancing the association’s mission and representing the interests of the waste and recycling industry.
“Don has dedicated nearly four decades to advancing our industry, and his leadership as NWRA chairman reflects his commitment to innovation, collaboration and the continued success of our members,” said Michael E. Hoffman, president and CEO of NWRA. “His appointment to lead Kollekt is an exciting next chapter in an already distinguished career. Backed by the Kirchhoff family of companies, which has a manufacturing history dating to 1785, Kollekt combines global engineering and manufacturing expertise with North American industry leadership. Under Ross’s direction, the company plans to introduce waste collection equipment and technologies developed in Europe and adapt them to meet the needs of municipalities and haulers throughout the United States and Canada.
Kollekt will be formally introduced at RCon 2026 at America’s Center in St. Louis, where attendees can visit booth #1027 to learn more about the company’s plans and technologies.
