Joining the Hispanic Waste & Recycling Alliance
Who Can Join?
HWRA welcomes Hispanic and Latino professionals and allies across the waste and recycling industry. Whether you work in the field, support operations, lead teams, or partner with the industry, there is a place for you in HWRA.
- Field operations: Drivers, helpers, route supervisors, scale house attendants, frontline employees, and more.
- Operations support: Container shop teams, operations coordinator, administrative professional etc.
- Management and leadership: Middle and senior managers, executives, and business owners
- Industry partners: Manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers supporting waste and recycling
Membership is open to employees of companies that are members in good standing of the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA). If your company is not an NWRA member or you aren’t sure it has joined, contact Catherine Whalen. We’d love to have you.
Membership Dues
HWRA dues are separate from your company’s NWRA membership and follow a tiered annual structure:

| Emerging Leaders* | $50 |
All HWRA dues are invoiced directly to your NWRA member company.
*Emerging Leaders are individuals actively working toward their first leadership role, including frontline employees pursuing advancement into supervision, operations or management.
