January 3, 2023:
Most states have returning governors and little turnover in their legislatures, but Massachusetts will have a new governor (Maura Healey), and New York and Connecticut will have new legislative chairs of their environment committees. NWRA chapters in all three states will be focused on educating the new legislative leaders on our concerns. That process already began with Connecticut members meeting with the Senate and Assembly Environment Committee Leadership last week over Zoom.
