NWRA Women’s Council Scholarship

The NWRA Women’s Council scholarships are offered to NWRA member company employees and their dependents who wish to use their education for a career in the waste and recycling industry. Eligible candidates may be a part-time or returning school student, a trade or community college applicant or a student for a university/college. The NWRA Women’s Council scholarships are ONLY open to NWRA member company employees and their dependents. An applicant must create an account and password to access and complete the application. The application remains active until the submission deadline, April 3, 2023. You may update your application until the deadline. Announcements will be made prior to WasteExpo, which will be held in May 2023. Submit your application here.

Some items to include:

  • Your connection with and contact information for an NWRA member company employee is needed.
  • A headshot in .jpg format is required.
  • An essay is required. Maximum 1,000 words. Introduce yourself and explain your personal experiences or other factors influencing your interest in pursuing a career in the waste and recycling industry.
  • Transcripts can be uploaded. For employees of NWRA companies returning to school or continuing their education, a transcript waiver can be selected.
  • Letters of recommendations are encouraged and strongly recommended from your employer if applicable.
