Safety 101: Cutting Lithium-ion Battery Fires in Our Industry
Waste fires are a serious problem. Costing millions of dollars each year, they cause serious damage through emissions released as the waste burns and cause a loss of valuable recycling resources. Lithium-ion batteries particularly seem to be a common catalyst for fires in waste facilities. These batteries outcompete all other rechargeable batteries and continue to be a growing problem in our waste streams. During this webinar, Eunomia, a UK-based environmental consulting group, will discuss methods that are helping to reduce lithium-ion battery fires across the pond.
