NWRA President and CEO Issues Statement on Death of Rumpke Employee

Arlington, VA – National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) President and CEO Darrell Smith released the following statement on the work-related death of Rumpke Waste & Recycling employee David J. Evans in Middleton, Ohio, today.

“We extend our sympathies to NWRA member Rumpke Waste & Recycling on the death of David J. Evans who was killed this morning while on the job. Mr. Evans was a 15-year employee of Rumpke Waste & Recycling. His death is a tragic reminder of the dangers the men and women in our industry face every day. We urge the motoring public to take care when approaching waste collection vehicles.”
