NWRA Urges Congress to Oppose Legislation that Could Affect Critical Supply Chains
Arlington, VA – The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) joined other organizations on a letter to Congress urging opposition to H.R. 842, the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act. The legislation would restructure federal labor laws.
“NWRA believes there should be a conversation about updating our federal labor laws to reflect the modern workplace,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith. “However, we are concerned that if this bill became law, critical supply chains could be affected, delaying the manufacture and delivery of items necessary to fight COVID-19. Therefore, we urge Congress to oppose the PRO Act.”
