Membership Types:

Affiliate – Affiliate participation is available to academicians, trade publications, trade associations, and member retirees.

Services – Businesses that directly or indirectly handle waste, including solid, industrial, hazardous, medical, and construction and demolition (C&D) materials. This includes collection and post-collection operations such as waste and recycling collection, transfer stations, processing facilities, materials recovery facilities (MRFs), composting operations, and final disposal methods like landfilling, incineration, or other technologies.

Supplier – Businesses that provide equipment, technology, parts, and services to support the waste and recycling industry. This includes manufacturers, assemblers, and vendors of capital equipment and supplies, as well as those offering recurring services used in waste and recycling collection, processing, and operations.

Healthcare Waste Institute – Businesses that focus on collecting, transporting, treating, and disposing of medical wastes. Also, suppliers and service providers primarily focused on supporting businesses working in this area.

Associates – Individuals and private sector firms providing technical, consulting, professional, environmental, financial, legal, and insurance-related services to services, suppliers and HWI members.
