About Chanel

Chanel is a certified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) practitioner and Learning & Development professional with over 20 years of experience developing and managing training programs. She received her Bachelor’s from UC Davis studying Communication and Psychology with a focus on organization development and then began her career at Sacramento International Airport. There, she built training programs for upskilling, leadership development, compliance, and health and wellness as well as instituted several employee engagement initiatives.
As the Training and Organization Development Manager for Sacramento County, she led professional and executive level training programs for over 13,000 employees across 40 various industries including Waste Management, Primary Health and Environmental Management and launched culture-change efforts to support employee connection and growth. She has a passion for teambuilding and process improvement and has facilitated hundreds of workshops for teams around personality types, communication styles and leadership dynamics.
Chanel joined Recology as the Learning & Development Manager in early 2023 to develop engaging leadership training, enhance the onboarding experience and create more training opportunities for all employee-owners and contribute to a world without waste.
Chanel resides in Sacramento with her husband and two daughters, enjoys painting and traveling and is currently writing a children’s book.
