Services
Businesses that directly or indirectly handle waste, including solid, industrial, hazardous, medical, and construction and demolition (C&D) materials. This includes collection and post-collection operations such as waste and recycling collection, transfer stations, processing facilities, materials recovery facilities (MRFs), composting operations, and final disposal methods like landfilling, incineration, or other technologies.
Supplier
Businesses that provide equipment, technology, parts, and services to support the waste and recycling industry. This includes manufacturers, assemblers, and vendors of capital equipment and supplies, as well as those offering recurring services used in waste and recycling collection, processing, and operations.
Dealers
Independent and regional equipment distributors/dealers serving the waste and recycling industry. Dealer members sell, lease, and service trucks, equipment, and related technologies and equipment that support collection, processing, and disposal operations.
Affiliate
Academicians, trade
publications, trade associations, and member company retirees.
Healthcare Waste Institute
Businesses that focus on collecting, transporting, treating, and disposing of medical wastes. Also, suppliers and service providers primarily focused on supporting businesses working in this area and associates whose primary engagement with NWRA is through HWI.
Associates
Individuals and private sector firms providing technical, consulting,
professional, environmental, financial, legal, and insurance-related services to services, suppliers and HWI members.
Local Members
Private sector services entities who operate only in one state (one chapter) with an annual revenue of not greater than $6.9MM a year at 2026 dues level and providing waste and recycling services including collection, transport, recycling, materials processing, treatment, storage, containment, incineration, and/or disposal of solid, industrial, medical, and construction and demolition waste, membership will be limited to the state chapter joined (Local Hauler).
