NWRA Urges Congressional Leaders to Support Second Round of PPP Funding
The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) joined other organizations on a letter to Congressional leaders urging support for a second round of funding for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) as Congress returns after the election.
“NWRA appreciates the hard work and leadership from Congress to support businesses with the Paycheck Protection Program. It has helped many businesses remain operational and retain employees. The PPP was uniquely crafted to allow small businesses fast access to capital, and it remains the best solution to provide relief a second time,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith.
NWRA has consistently supported financial assistance programs during the COVID-19 pandemic aimed at keeping businesses open and allowing them to pay their bills for essential services such as waste and recycling collection.
