NWRA Files Comments on EPA’s National Recycling Strategy 

NWRA Supports Policies that Strengthen Recycling Markets and Reduce Contamination 

Arlington, VA – The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) filed comments with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on its draft National Recycling Strategy. The draft strategy identifies objectives and actions needed to create a stronger and more vibrant recycling system.

“NWRA is pleased to provide thoughtful comments on the EPA’s draft National Recycling Strategy. The EPA has identified the right objectives to support making recycling resilient and strong,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith. “We look forward to collaborating with the EPA as this moves forward.”

In its comments, NWRA urged the EPA to strengthen recycling education programs, conduct lifecycle analysis of various packaging forms and support efforts to increase the use of recycled content.
