NWRA Reminds Collection Workers of Three Steps to Drive Safe

Arlington, VA – This week’s Safety Monday, presented by Republic Services, reminds drivers to keep their eyes on the road, hands on the wheel and mind on what is ahead of them.

“It is important that drivers operate their vehicles in a safe manner,” said Kirk Sander, chief of staff and vice president of safety and standards for the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA). “Simply keeping your eyes on the road ahead of you and your hands on the steering wheel will help prevent incidents.”

“We are pleased to provide this industry-renowned safety resource to anyone who requests it,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith. “You do not need to be a member of NWRA to receive it.”
