NWRA Reminds Waste Collection Workers to Take Precautions to Reduce Risk of COVID-19
Arlington, VA – The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) Safety Monday for this week, presented by Willi Waste, reminds waste collection workers to take certain precautions to reduce their risk of contracting COVID-19.
“It is important to remain vigilant against COVID-19 and its variants,” said Kirk Sander, chief of staff and vice president of safety and standards for NWRA. “We urge waste collection workers to wash their hands frequently and follow other safety recommendations to reduce their risk of getting the virus.”
“We are pleased to provide this industry-renowned safety resource to anyone who requests it,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith. “You do not need to be a member of NWRA to receive it.”
