NWRA’s Anne Germain Among Waste360’s Women Who Inspire
Arlington, VA – Anne Germain, chief operating officer (COO) and senior vice president of technical and regulatory affairs for the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA), was recognized by Waste360 as a Woman Who Inspires for her contributions to the waste and recycling industry.
“I am pleased to be recognized as a woman who inspires alongside Joy, Dana, Michelle and Ana,” said Germain. “Thank you to Waste360 for this tremendous honor.”
In addition to being NWRA’s COO, she leads NWRA’s Healthcare Waste Institute, Recycling Committee, Landfill Institute and other working groups focused on sustainability and environmental justice.
“We congratulate Anne on earning this recognition,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith. “Few people in the waste and recycling industry have the knowledge and experience she does, and our members are better for it. We look forward to celebrating with her at WasteExpo.”
Germain masterfully understands the inner workings of the waste and recycling industry. She knows both the public and private sectors and her engineering background is one of the many tools in her professional toolkit. Germain has moved the needle on the local, state and national advocacy levels.
She goes above and beyond to ensure the industry is heard and is a true example of what a leader should be. Her work is driving the industry forward, and she actively mentors along the way.
Waste360 will recognize Germain and the other winners at WasteExpo 2023 in New Orleans.
