NWRA Safety Monday Reminds Waste Collection Workers to Follow Lockout/Tagout Protocols
Arlington, VA – This week’s Safety Monday, presented by Leck Waste Services, reminds waste collection workers to disable hazardous energy before performing maintenance or service on equipment.
“It is important that waste and recycling workers follow control methods to prevent the release of stored energy,” said Kirk Sander, chief of staff and vice president of safety and standards for the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA).
“We are pleased to provide this industry-renowned safety resource to anyone who requests it,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith. “You do not need to be a member of NWRA to receive it.”
