NWRA Safety Monday Reminds Waste Collection Drivers that Schools are Open
Arlington, VA – This week’s Safety Monday, presented by Republic Services, reminds waste collection drivers to watch for students and school buses.
“School has begun and that means the roads are filled with school buses and student drivers,” said Kirk Sander, NWRA chief of staff and vice president, safety and standards. “We urge our drivers to watch for high pedestrian areas near schools and avoid school zones during school start and end times.”
