NWRA’s Safety Monday Reminds Waste Collection Drivers to Watch for Road Hazards
Arlington, VA – This week’s Safety Monday, presented by Mazza Recycling, reminds waste collection drivers to watch for road hazards. Staying focused on the road instead of your phone or radio can be the difference between having an accident or not.
“Many times, unexpected hazards appear on the road,” said Kirk Sander, NWRA chief of staff and vice president, safety and standards. “Sometimes you can see them and react; other times they appear without warning. You can’t get home unless you are safe.”
