The Healthcare Waste Institute (HWI) is made up of members involved in managing waste generated by the healthcare sector. This includes regulated medical waste, pharmaceutical waste, chemo waste, among others. They meet to discuss issues affecting the industry including interactions with regulators such as DOT, DEA, USPS, EPA, CDC as well as other topical issues that might arise including sequestration devices, pharmaceutical waste, sharps waste management, among other issues.
HWI will be holding a meeting at Healthcare Waste Conference. The meeting will be held on May 11 at 2:30 p.m. PT in room W319 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, West Hall.
