FMCSA Honors Truck Drivers Including Waste Collection Drivers

Arlington, VA – The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) honored several truck drivers across multiple industries to celebrate National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, which runs September 12-18. Waste Management’s Teddy Cranford represented the waste and recycling industry.

“The waste and recycling industry and the United States Postal Service are the only two entities that travel every road in America at least once a week,” said National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) President and CEO Darrell Smith. “It is important we recognize the hard work and contributions truck drivers make, including waste collection vehicle drivers.”

This event is part of FMCSA’s Our Roads, Our Safety national campaign. NWRA is a partner in the campaign.
