Google Doodle Recognizes Waste Collection Workers

Arlington, VA –  Google continues its series of Doodles recognizing the hard work of employees in essential industries like the solid waste industry. The Google Doodles will continue thanking frontline workers over the next few weeks.

“We thank Google for recognizing our industry with its Google Doodle today. During this national emergency, National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) members will continue providing waste and recycling services to their customers and elsewhere as may be needed in order to protect the public’s health and safety. Our workers are on the frontlines making sure that the waste that is generated during this health crisis is disposed of properly,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith.
