NWRA Honors Drivers During Driver Appreciation Week

Arlington, VA – The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) is proud to honor the men and women in the waste and recycling industry during U.S. National Truck Driver Appreciation Week held September 11-15. During this week, NWRA will recognize waste and recycling industry truck drivers across the U.S. for their hard work and commitment to keeping our environment clean, keeping roads safe and ensuring goods are delivered safely and securely.

“Other than the U.S. Postal Service, no other industry travels every road in the country as often as our drivers do,” said NWRA Interim President and CEO Jim Riley. “NWRA recognizes the hard work of these men and women not just during U.S. National Truck Driver Appreciation Week but every day as we continuously work to make sure they are able to go home safely each day at the end of their shifts.”

NWRA recognizes the top drivers in the industry at WasteExpo each year.
