NWRA Safety Monday: Consistent Training Keeps Safety Awareness on the Mind

Arlington, VA – This week’s Safety Monday, presented by Republic Services, reminds waste collection workers to avoid the “this is how we’ve always done it” mentality.

“Don’t let years of experience prevent you from learning something new,” said Kirk Sander, chief of staff and vice president of safety and standards for the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA). “There is always room to improve.”

“We are pleased to provide this industry-renowned safety resource to anyone who requests it,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith. “You do not need to be a member of NWRA to receive it.”
