NWRA Safety Monday Offers Reminders to Plan for Foul Weather

Arlington, VA – This week’s Safety Monday, presented by Republic Services, offers important tips to avoid driving incidents due to winter weather.

“It happens every year,” said Kirk Sander, chief of staff and vice president of safety and standards for the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA). “Snow, ice, wind, rain and fog lead to increased incidents on the road and around the workplace. With forethought, care and planning, these incidents can be avoided.”

“We are pleased to provide this industry-renowned safety resource to anyone who requests it,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith. “You do not need to be a member of NWRA to receive it.”
