NWRA Safety Monday Provides 6 Tips to be Heart Smart

Arlington, VA – This week’s Safety Monday, presented by Rumpke Waste & Recycling, reminds waste collection workers to be heart smart.

“Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women in the United States,” said Kirk Sander, chief of staff and vice president of safety and standards for the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA). “This week, we provide helpful tips to lower your risk of heart disease.”

“We are pleased to provide this industry-renowned safety resource to anyone who requests it,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith. “You do not need to be a member of NWRA to receive it.”
