NWRA Safety Monday Reminds Drivers to Keep a Clean Cab

Arlington, VA – This week’s Safety Monday, presented by Republic Services, reminds drivers to keep a clean cab.

“Items and trash on the dash impede vision, making it difficult to see in front of the truck in some instances,” said Kirk Sander, chief of staff and vice president of safety and standards for the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA). “All these become even more dangerous in the event of a rollover, as they become projectiles and can seriously harm someone.”

“We are pleased to provide this industry-renowned safety resource to anyone who requests it,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith. “You do not need to be a member of NWRA to receive it.”
