NWRA Safety Monday Reminds Waste Collection Drivers to Be Aware While Driving
Arlington, VA – This week’s Safety Monday, presented by Republic Services, reminds waste collection drivers to avoid distracted driving.
“It is easy to get distracted while driving,” said Kirk Sander, chief of staff and vice president of safety and standards for the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA). “We encourage drivers to stay focused on the road. Keeping an organized cab, getting plenty of rest and eating well are just a few things drivers can do to avoid distractions while driving.”
“We are pleased to provide this industry-renowned safety resource to anyone who requests it,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith. “You do not need to be a member of NWRA to receive it.”
