NWRA Safety Monday Reminds Waste Collection Drivers to Watch for Children Loading and Unloading from School Buses

Arlington, VA – This week’s Safety Monday offers important reminders to waste collection drivers to watch for school children loading and unloading from school buses.

“We encourage our waste collection drivers to learn and obey school bus laws that might vary by jurisdiction,” said Kirk Sander, chief of staff and vice president of safety and standards for the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA). “It is important to watch for school children near school buses.”

“We are pleased to provide this industry-renowned safety resource to anyone who requests it,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith. “You do not need to be a member of NWRA to receive it.”
