NWRA Safety Monday Reminds Waste Collection Workers that Good Housekeeping Habits Help Avoid OSHA Violations
Arlington, VA – This week’s Safety Monday, presented by GFL Environmental, reminds waste collection workers that the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) can cite you for housekeeping violations.
“Housekeeping is a citable violation and is one of the easiest things to control in the workplace,” said Kirk Sander, chief of staff and vice president of safety and standards for the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA).
“We are pleased to provide this industry-renowned safety resource to anyone who requests it,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith. “You do not need to be a member of NWRA to receive it.”
