NWRA Safety Monday Reminds Waste Collection Workers to Avoid, Slips, Trips, and Falls
Arlington, VA – This week’s Safety Monday presented by the City of Scottsdale, AZ, offers waste collection workers tips to avoid slips, trips, and falls.
“According to OSHA, more than 65 percent of falls in the workplace were caused by a slip or trip,” said Kirk Sander, Chief of Staff and Vice President of Safety and Standards for the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA). “We encourage the men and women in our industry to follow these tips to remain safe.”
“We are pleased to provide this industry-renowned safety resource to anyone who requests it,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith. “You do not need to be a member of NWRA to receive it.”
