NWRA Safety Monday Reminds Waste Collection Workers to Be Prepared to Avoid Emergencies

Arlington, VA – This week’s Safety Monday, presented by GFL Environmental, reminds waste collection workers to be prepared for emergencies.

“Emergencies can occur at any time,” said Kirk Sander, chief of staff and vice president of safety and standards for the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA). “It is important that the men and women in our industry are prepared.”

“We are pleased to provide this industry-renowned safety resource to anyone who requests it,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith. “You do not need to be a member of NWRA to receive it.”
