NWRA Safety Monday Reminds Waste Collection Workers to Watch for Dangerous Weather

Arlington, VA – This week’s Safety Monday reminds waste collection workers to watch for dangerous weather.

“Afternoon storms and violent weather often occurs this time of year,” said Kirk Sander, chief of staff and vice president of safety and standards for the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA). “We encourage waste collection workers to be aware of severe weather and take appropriate precautions to be safe.”

“We are pleased to provide this industry-renowned safety resource to anyone who requests it,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith. “You do not need to be a member of NWRA to receive it.”
