NWRA Safety Monday Reminds Waste Workers to “Drive Like You Work Here”

Arlington, VA – This week’s Safety Monday, presented by Mazza Recycling Services, reminds waste collection drivers to avoid drowsy driving, road rage and driving an unsafe vehicle.

“Before you get behind the wheel, be sure to be well rested,” said Kirk Sander, NWRA chief of staff and vice president, safety and standards. “If you are sleepy, you are 70% more likely to be involved in an accident versus a non-sleepy driver.”
