NWRA’s Darrell Smith Talks about How to Achieve Policy Victories at Global Conference

 Arlington, VA – Darrell Smith, president and CEO of the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA), spoke today at the World Waste-to-Wealth Summit. His presentation was titled “Leadership, Strategy, and Tactics in Waste & Recycling Public Policy Advocacy.”

“NWRA has achieved hundreds of public policy victories and has been recognized with multiple awards by following the basic rules of leadership, strategy and tactics,” said Smith. “We set proximate objectives that can be achieved, we have a strategic philosophy that undergirds all that we do and we align our message with the priorities of decision-makers.”

NWRA was also recognized with the 2021 Energy and Environment Foundation Global Waste & Recycling Association of the Year Award during the global summit.
