NWRA’s Safety Monday Offers Waste Collection Drivers Tips to Approach Intersections Safely
Arlington, VA – The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) Safety Monday for this week, presented by Rumpke Waste & Recycling, provides tips for approaching an intersection safely.
“Intersections present some of the greatest safety challenges for commercial vehicle operators,” said Kirk Sander, chief of staff and vice president of safety and standards for NWRA. “Whether it’s a 4-way stop or a complex traffic light, our drivers must be on high alert.”
“We are pleased to provide this industry-renowned safety resource to anyone who requests it,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith. “You do not need to be a member of NWRA to receive it.”
