NWRA’s Safety Monday Reminds Drivers to Drive Safely this Holiday Season

Arlington, VA – The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) Safety Monday for this week, presented by Waste Management, reminds drivers to watch for other drivers and avoid dangerous behaviors behind the wheel.

“This time of year brings added stress and fatigue as motorists are out shopping and traveling to parties,” said Kirk Sander, chief of staff and vice president of safety and standards for NWRA. “We urge motorists to avoid distracted driving, impaired driving and fatigued driving. We also encourage our drivers to watch for those behaviors.”

“We are pleased to provide this industry-renowned safety resource to anyone who requests it,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith. “You do not need to be a member of NWRA to receive it.”
