NWRA’s Safety Monday Reminds Drivers to Make Safety a Priority While Driving

Arlington, VA – The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) Safety Monday for this week, presented by Rumpke Waste & Recycling, provides waste collection workers with roadway safety tips to remain safe on the road.

“The waste and recycling industry and the U.S. Postal Service are the only two entities that travel every road in America at least once every week,” said Kirk Sander, chief of staff and vice president of safety and standards for NWRA. “It is important our drivers make safety a priority while driving.”

“We are pleased to provide this industry-renowned safety resource to anyone who requests it,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith. “You do not need to be a member of NWRA to receive it.”
