NWRA’s Safety Monday Reminds Waste Collection Drivers to Buckle Up

Arlington, VA – The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) Safety Monday for this week, presented by Republic Services, reminds waste collection drivers to buckle up this holiday season.

“With more motorists on the road this time of year, it is important that our drivers wear their seat belts,” said Kirk Sander, chief of staff and vice president of safety and standards for NWRA. “We want everyone to get home safely at the end of their shift.”

“We are pleased to provide this industry-renowned safety resource to anyone who requests it,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith. “You do not need to be a member of NWRA to receive it.”
