NWRA’s Safety Monday Reminds Waste Collection Drivers to Watch for Wildlife this Fall
Arlington, VA – The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) Safety Monday for this week, presented by LRS, reminds waste collection drivers to watch for wildlife this fall.
“As we enter the fall season, it is important to be more aware of the deer and other large animals around you when driving,” said Kirk Sander, chief of staff and vice president of safety and standards for NWRA. “The Insurance Information Institute reports that over 1.6 million deer-related vehicle collisions occur each year.”
“We are pleased to provide this industry-renowned safety resource to anyone who requests it,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith. “You do not need to be a member of NWRA to receive it.”
