NWRA’s Safety Monday Reminds Workers to Avoid Distracted Driving this Season

Arlington, VA – This week’s Safety Monday, presented by Waste Connections, reminds waste collection workers to avoid distractions and mental fatigue.

“We urge workers to create a barrier to distractions,” said Kirk Sander, NWRA chief of staff and vice president, safety and standards. “Turn off notifications, silence your phone and take breaks to allow your body and mind to recover.”
