U.S. Senate Confirms Doug Parker’s Nomination to Lead OSHA

Arlington, VA – The United States Senate confirmed the nomination of Doug Parker to lead the Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Parker was previously head of the California Department of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA).

“The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) congratulates Mr. Parker on his confirmation. We look forward to working with him on areas of mutual interest,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith.

NWRA is a member of the OSHA Alliance, an initiative aimed at making the waste and recycling industry safer.
