Originally from sunny Southern California, Ariana May is the Communications Manager at the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA), where she leads communications initiatives that support the association’s advocacy, member engagement and industry programs. She develops strategic communications and marketing efforts that help connect members, elevate the industry’s voice and advance NWRA’s mission.
Ariana earned her degree in Strategic Communication from Washington State University (Go Cougs!) and serves as president of the WSU DC Alumni Chapter. In her free time, she enjoys traveling to experience new places and cultures, cooking with her husband and making the most of every weekend, whether that’s attending a sporting event, a concert or another local adventure. But at the end of the day, she’s always happy to head home to, her two cats, Chive and Basil.
