Yashuwa Jerry serves as manager of standards at NWRA, where he leads the development and maintenance of the Z245 standards, the industry’s benchmark safety requirements for waste management machinery and facilities.
Holding a Bachelor of Arts in psychology with a concentration in social and organizational behavior, Yashuwa brings a distinctly human-centered approach to safety advocacy. He focuses on fostering psychological safety, building strong safety cultures, and mitigating psychosocial hazards to drive workplace well-being and operational excellence.
As a lifelong Washingtonian, Yashuwa’s professional roots span multiple industries across the District. Outside of work, he enjoys music, fashion, and exploring the historic architecture of his hometown
