Safety 101: Get the Best Out of FMCSA’s Entry-level Driver Training Program and the Training Provider Registry

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) staff from the Driver and Carrier Operations Division and the Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Division will jointly present a webinar on the agency’s upcoming Entry-level Driver Training (ELDT) rule. This webinar will provide a comprehensive overview of the “key” provisions of the 2016 ELDT final rule, including who is subject to the rule, what must be done to comply with the rule, and how to prepare for the rule’s implementation date of February 7, 2022. This webinar will also include an in-depth overview of all recent activities related to the ELDT Training Provider Registry, which is the information technology system for registering as a registered provider and for submitting proof of training for those individuals who will be subject to the ELDT rule, including an overview of various compliance materials already developed to assist in the registration process. The webinar will also include a Q&A session on these or any other ELDT issues that may arise during the webinar.
