NWRA Reminds Collection Workers of the Dangers Associated with Severe Weather

Arlington, VA – This week’s Safety Monday reminds waste collection workers of the dangers of severe weather and what to do if they see threatening weather approaching.

“Severe weather can appear without much warning,” said Kirk Sander, chief of staff and vice president of safety and standards for NWRA. “It is important for waste collection workers know what to do in the event of severe weather.”

“We are pleased to provide this industry-renowned safety resource to anyone who requests it,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith. “You do not need to be a member of NWRA to receive it.”
