NWRA’s Safety Monday Reminds Waste Collection Drivers to Look Out for Children
Arlington, VA – The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) Safety Monday for this week, provided by Republic Services, reminds waste collection drivers to look out for children walking and biking to and from school.
“We encourage drivers to watch for areas where children are likely to gather, such as school zones, bus stops and playgrounds,” said Kirk Sander, chief of staff and vice president of safety and standards for NWRA.
“We are pleased to provide this industry-renowned safety resource to anyone who requests it,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith. “You do not need to be a member of NWRA to receive it.”
